Cardano Founder Says ‘We Ignore The Noise And Make Our Own Path’
Cardano Founder Says ‘We Make Our Own Path’ In Response To Being Omitted From Coindesk Most Influential List Again.
Hoskinson is not surprised that CoinDesk does not recognize him among the influential voices in crypto.
In a tweet today, Cardano’s Charles Hoskinson asserted that he was not surprised that CoinDesk had snubbed him in the making of its 100 most influential in crypto this year. Instead, the Cardano founder asserted, “We make our own path.”
Does someone want to explain to this guy our history with @CoinDesk? If we won the vanity poll, election counters would be debating it for the next five years. Ignore the noise. We make our own path https://t.co/bXo927wujE

The sentiment came in response to a tweet from an ADA enthusiast who expressed shock at Hoskinson not being included, calling the list a “joke.”
It bears mentioning that Hoskinson has never been included in the poll in its at least 8-year-long history. Meanwhile, it is no surprise for the Cardano founder, who believes that the news outlet is biased against the Cardano community.
“I’m not sure what the criteria are but I guess those people are much more influential.”
Hoskinson, who is no stranger to trolling the news outlet as a simple search of his Twitter account will reveal, has often griped about the non-existent, negative, or misleading coverage of Cardano by CoinDesk. Interestingly, in July last year, the news outlet opted to publish an opinion piece suggesting that the efforts of Input Output Global (IOG), the development team behind Cardano, in Africa were exploitative and akin to colonialism.
Honestly @CoinDesk has just lost the fucking plot at this point https://t.co/5pjm88CYzD they’ve gone from grudgingly admitting that our projects exist to calling the efforts crypto-colonialism in opinion pieces.

To be fair to the Cardano enthusiast who expressed shock at Hoskinson’s exclusion, it is worth noting that Cardano ranked as the number 1 crypto brand in MBLM’s brand intimacy report in front of Bitcoin. Consequently, it is surprising that neither Hoskinson nor IOG got a mention.
There appear to be other shocking omissions from the list, like Binance’s Changpeng Zhao and FTX’s Sam Bankman-Fried. But, they have arguably been very influential in the current bear market cycle.
CoinDesk’s list contains nearly 100 names cutting across industry leaders, influencers, policymakers, and movie stars. Notably, there is a section where voters can write names they believe have been missed.
