Shiba Inu Lead Developer Says Unification’s Announcements on Shibarium Are Important
Kusama urges SHIB holders not to dismiss Unification’s announcement on Shibarium.
Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has urged members of the SHIB community not to dismiss Unification Foundation’s updates on Shibarium.
Kusama made this known on Telegram after a SHIB enthusiast demanded that information about Shibarium, the cryptocurrency’s upcoming layer-2 network, should only come from the Shiba Inu team and not from “some others,” including Unification.
Responding to the comments, Kusama said the Unification Foundation is working with the Shiba Inu team towards the successful launch of the upcoming L2 blockchain. Based on this, Kusama urged the community not to dismiss anything Unification says about Shibarium.
“Unification is working closely with us on Shibarium so don’t discount what they say,” Kusama remarked.
The development was shared on Twitter by prominent Shiba Inu influencer Lucie.

It is understandable why some SHIB community members want only the Shiba Inu team to share updates on Shibarium. Last year, Unification assured the community that Shibarium Beta would launch by the end of Q3 2022. However, the project did not go live as promised, prompting backlash from SHIB holders. Kusama had to weigh in on the situation, informing the aggrieved enthusiasts that Shiba Inu does not specify launch dates for any project.
Unification’s Quest to Keep the Community Updated About Shibarium
It bears mentioning that the team behind Shiba Inu partnered with Unification last year to develop the cryptocurrency’s L2 network. Following the partnership, the duo have taken significant steps towards Shibarium’s launch.
To keep the community updated about the upcoming L2 blockchain, Unification sometimes shares Medium blog posts, highlighting the technical progress recorded so far.
As reported by TheCryptoBasic, Unification released a blog post earlier this month explaining what is stalling the release of Shibarium Beta. The Shiba Inu partner explained that it had been focused on developing the Oracle of Oracles (OoO) solution to ensure its readiness for use on Shibarium.
“We have also been testing OoO on the Shibarium alpha network. The Router smart contract has been successfully deployed, along with a test OoO provider and several smart contracts used for testing price data requests,” Unification said in its recent blog post.
In addition, Unification urged Shiba Inu community members to exercise patience with the team, as the public beta network of Shibarium will soon go live.
