The Sandbox-DBS Collaboration
Recently, The Sandbox collaborated with the Singapore-based financial services group DBS to venture into the metaverse space. The partners will introduce visitors to the DBS BetterWorld interactive metaverse experience. DBS would purchase a 3×3 plot of LAND, a type of virtual property in The Sandbox metaverse. The area would have interactive components, emphasizing the importance of creating a sustainable environment. The bank’s different engagement platform, DBS BetterWorld, would inform visitors to The Sandbox about current environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. According to the most recent contract, DBS would buy carbon offsets to make the development of DBS BetterWorld carbon neutral.
