Affyn reveals Singapore as its inaugural metaverse city

Affyn is progressing on its NEXUS World metaverse. The platform announced that NEXUS World will have Singapore as its inaugural metaverse city. The first metaverse city will unveil other cities in the near future. It features 2,000 plots of Freehold Land NFTs, Invezz learned from a press release.

Leveraging mobile geolocation features

Affyn’s metaverse uses mobile geolocation features within metaverse cities with direct real-world mapping, which means all of the 2,000 plots are matched to a real location in Singapore. The plots are categorized by their “rarity” levels: Mythical, Epic, Rare, etc.

The plots of land represent real estate digitally within the unique metaverse. Each plot has a combination of features and climates, including snow biomes, rock, grass, sand, etc. The number of features corresponds to the plot’s rarity level. Those with higher land tiers will receive access to additional benefits, like improved chances to generate rarer “Buddies.”

How to earn from the NFTs

After developing their plots, landowners can earn money by renting parts of their virtual properties to other players. They can also host events, games, and other activities. Each plot of land is actually a town, where the mayor is the landowner. This gives landowners the flexibility to offer other players services and create a wide range of businesses on their virtual plots.

The number of rewards a landowner can earn is directly proportional to the number of participants in activities on land within NEXUS World. What’s more, Land NFT owners receive access to invite-only campaigns and events. Lucaz Lee, the founder and CEO of Affyn, commented:
