Clout.art NFT Platform Goes Live on the Hedera Network

Clout.art is the most recent NFT company to launch on the Hedera network, following LG Electronics. As a microservice, curation platform, and creator launchpad community, Clout.art strives to help up and coming artists benefit from the NFT space.

Clout.art, a platform that allows for the free minting and marketing of social media postings, is growing and migrating to the Hedera network to facilitate the development, expansion, and introduction of next-generation solutions that assist creators in better monetising their audiences. Clout.art will offer a dedicated fund to assist artists and creators in their NFT journey. More information about the fund and their original NFT collection will be made available in the coming weeks, but users can now join up and quickly mint their own NFT at https://clout.art.

Clout.art pioneered the migration of content from Web2 to Web3 in 2021, at a time when creating an NFT required deleting the original Instagram post. Clout.art was the first tool to enable the creation of NFTs from Instagram posts. Clout.art is now trailblazing the usage of NFTs from the Originals collection that is soon launching as part of the business model for emerging creators. The company is incorporating its own collection as well as an economic approach that assists creators in building their communities and patrons.

We’re excited to see that @cloutdotart, the team that introduced the idea of turning social media posts into valuable collections last year, has transitioned its services & tools from #Polygon to @Hedera – citing the increased speed and carbon-negative footprint of the network ⚡ pic.twitter.com/SWZeS8SSW3

“If physical merchandise has been a significant contributor to the revenue streams of online creators in a Web2 world, digital merchandise will pay the bills in the future,” said Jure Zih, founder of Clout.art and a pioneer in the NFT space who helped build the first NFT framework on Ethereum in 2018. “Just as you would buy a branded t-shirt, cap, or coffee mug from someone, you will now purchase digital things from your favourite artists and influencers.”

With the addition of NFT compatibility to prominent social media sites, a crucial milestone has been accomplished, bringing crypto-backed digital collectibles closer to mainstream use. While many users can already attach NFTs to their timelines, online authors may gain revenue by doing the reverse and converting their existing postings into NFTs.

Transitioning to Hedera

Clout.art will be moving its services and tools from Polygon to the Hedera network to utilise a faster and more eco-friendly technology stack. Moreover, the move is significant for Hedera’s NFT community as the project enables new concepts of monetising existing content to add an additional revenue stream.

“Hedera has one of the fastest growing ecosystems, thanks to hashgraph consensus algorithm, a technology backbone that can outperform the majority of the current blockchain networks,” said Jure Zih.

“Clout.art introduces an innovative platform where minting NFTs from your original content is as simple as logging into your Instagram account,” said Alex Russman of The HBAR Foundation. “They are pioneers in evolving the creator economy, actively exploring the intersection of creators and web3 technologies, and we are excited for their growth on the Hedera network.”
