Everyrealm Brings Fantasy Islands Adventure to The Sandbox
The metaverse continues its evolution from bold concept to digital reality as real estate springs up across its virtual land. Leading metaverse foundational layers such as Decentraland and The Sandbox are starting to see soil broken and fertile seeds planted. This includes virtual galleries, apartments, shopping districts, and of course games, often wrapped around real estate itself.
This week, metaverse incubator Everyrealm brought its latest game to The Sandbox, giving players a chance to roam the metaverse in search of coins. Dubbed the “first-ever master-planned premier island community in the metaverse,” Fantasy Island is a place for players to socialize, game, and show off their NFT art on the walls of their bachelor pads and beachfront apartments.
A short video released by Everyrealm provides a taster of Fantasy Islands in action. The Roblox-style romp sees characters criss-crossing the waterfront real estate in pursuit of coins and quests. There are seven quests in total to complete, laid out across the sprawling Frostbite Villa, including such challenges as feeding a tiger and finding the flag. The Everyrealm creation comprises 100 unique private islands, community developments and “exclusive brand partnerships.”
The Sandbox Steps Up
Located on grid coordinates -3, 5 within The Sandbox, Frostbite Villa is a prime piece of real estate within a metaverse whose most desirable parcels can fetch hundreds of thousands of dollars. The season three alpha of The Sandbox launched in late August, and since then it’s been all systems go. Creators have wasted no time in building elaborate constructions, ranging from the Bored Apes clubhouse to a candy world with its own Halloween game.
With the metaverse – both The Sandbox’s and at large – still very new, it remains to be seen how participants choose to interact and which recreational options gain traction. At present, it comprises an explorable land populated with player-made real estate, interspersed with mini games. As a taster in what can be done within the metaverse, this is enough to sate early adopters. Once real-world brands set up shop, however, and deploy their web3 budgets to full effect, we should get a better idea of what can be done in the metaverse.
Everyrealm Expands Its Empire
Everyrealm has had a whirlwind year, shrugging off the crypto market downturn to immerse itself in the metaverse and everything that comes with it. Its Everyrealm Collection of digital assets, including virtual land and blue chip NFTs, has now grown to over 5,000 items. It’s created a virtual gallery to allow interested parties to explore the collection at their leisure.
In addition, the company has partnered with web3 esports team Method MetaGuild. The pair conducted a regulated token sale on Republic’s platform on September 29. Method and Everyrealm have declared their intention to create the world’s largest community for esports and web3 gaming. With holdings in more than 30 metaverse platforms and six metaverse real estate developments to date, Everyrealm is now synonymous with the brave new world being mapped out in the digital domain.
