IOG Says “Getting Things Right” Is The Priority After Cardano Investor Asked When Vasil Will Launch
IOG has responded to ADA investors who are eager to know the exact date for the launch of the Vasil hard fork.
Input Output Global (IOG), Cardano’s research company, said. At the same time, it acknowledges that members of the Cardano community are expecting a specific date for the Vasil upgrade launch; the team is focused on getting things right.
According to the IOG, it is focused on ensuring that all technical stakeholders are ready and comfortable before a date is given for Vasil’s launch.
“We recognize everyone is always keen to get dates. But this is the nature of things. And getting it right – and making sure all technical stakeholders are ready and comfortable – has to be our priority,” IOG said.

The Cardano development team has never been a fan of making hasty decisions in releasing important upgrades. They understand that hurrying new upgrades could result in serious mistakes that may endanger key projects relying on Cardano. The IOG is willing to take whatever criticism may arise for slowly releasing upgrades because getting things right is the top priority.
Vasil Mainnet Launch Postponed to Avoid Making Mistakes
Recall that Vasil was initially scheduled to go live by the end of June but was postponed. Cardano founder, Charles Hoskinson, said Vasil mainnet launch was postponed because the IOG did not want a repeat of the Terra incident.
Despite noting that the Vasil upgrade is ready, the IOG also postponed the Vasil deployment scheduled for July ending.
