Alchemy Launches Web3 Application Store to Simplify Dapp Access

Alchemy, a network for Web3 developers, said Tuesday that it is launching a decentralized application store (dapp). The marketplace intends to make it simpler for consumers and programmers to access decentralized apps. https://twitter.com/AlchemyPlatform/status/1600178684182159370 Relationships between centralized entities and Web3 technologies have recently proved unproductive. Due to Apple’s app store requiring 30% of the gas fees involved with transfers last week, Coinbase stopped transferring mobile non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Alchemy Store is Centralized

Jason Shah, head of growth at Alchemy, said that although their app store is centralized, it is not a commercialized product and instead intends to give open access to Web3-curious consumers and developers ready to leverage their technologies for an audience. According to Shah, whereas other markets may be driven by royalties, Alchemy is driven to attract new users to Web3 by offering a well-organized, user-friendly marketplace.

Fragmentation of Web3 Goods

The fragmentation of Web3 goods, in which dapps are dispersed over several websites and protocols, might make users less trusting of blockchain technology. The goal, according to Shah, was to step in and assist deliver an accessible, community-oriented product while yet giving a type of clarity and trust to customers. He further stated that if Alchemy believes in the potential of Web3, it must make it as easy as possible for users to spread the word and inform customers of the advantages they provide.

Third-Quarter Report

In addition to continuing to build apps, Web3 developers are also doing so, as Alchemy reported in its third-quarter report. Alchemy is also continuously working on new technologies. It unveiled Spearmint last month as a tool to assist developers in keeping undesirable characters out of NFT mints. The business raised $12 million in September for a brand-new venture capital fund.
