Crypto Analyst Pledges $100K for Bahamian Protest to Arrest SBF

Ben Armstrong, also known as the crypto vigilante Bitboy, is taking matters into his hands once again. This time he pledged $100k to help send FTX users who lost their assets to the Bahamas for a protest to get Bahamian police’s attention and arrest fraudulent FTX CEO, Sam Bankman-Fried.

Just got a pledge of $100k to help send FTX users who lost $$$ to the Bahamas for our protest. Want to bring more people who can’t afford to go.

Would @UpOnlyTV & @cobie or anyone else be willing to match that amount?

This will force the Bahamian government to arrest Sam.

Reportedly, it is Bitboy’s agenda to create enough noise through protests so that the Bahamian police can act on it and arrest, the fallen CEO of FTX, Bankman-Fried.

According to Armstrong, he will reveal more details regarding the pledge and the protest soon. The crypto vigilante also said that “this is fast developing and will be creating a group for potential FTX users to join for details.”

However, his protest pledge gathered mixed reactions from the crypto community. The social media reactions ranged from support and appreciation to comments about scamming people for money and seeking public attention.

One nitpicker of the cause Travis Jamison replied saying, “What is the point of this, besides more social media fame? I’m not sure a protest is going to magically make any of the money reappear. There are better uses for these funds.”

Another naysayer Hez argued with a counter suggestion by saying,

Why do you think the Bahamian government will be interested in arresting Sam? Don’t you think that the government will be ‘throwing stones at a glasshouse’? Meaning: Indicting Sam could implicate them too…but an independent inquiry with the absolute fact might help.

On the other hand, some supporters termed his cause to protest and pledging $100K for affected FTX victims as “doing the lord’s work.”

For further clarification, Armstrong goes on to say that he intends only to help people who lost money due to FTX and cannot afford to travel via plane or boat, get down to the Bahamas.
