The Sandbox and SBS Contents Hub Join Forces to Develop Metaverse ‘Running Man Park’

The Sandbox has announced collaborating with SBS Contents Hub for the provision of famous media content in the Metaverse. SBS Contents Hub is a subsidiary of SBS (a broadcasting station based in South Korea). It is anticipated that the partnership between SBS and The Sandbox will provide exclusive possibilities related to content creation and virtual world-based gaming.

As included in the collaboration, the Sandbox will develop a virtual space named “Running Man Park.” The respective virtual space is inspired by Running Man (a famous variety show by SBS). The show’s fans will be permitted to experience the game missions presented in the respective show. The project is included in the strategy made by SBS Contents Hub to take benefit of the platform’s intellectual property.

The respective endeavour is also focused on the expansion of the company’s business to some new regions by offering an exclusive experience to the fans. With Running Man Park, the consumers will be permitted to experience the game missions included in the show in a virtual setting. In addition to this, the project will also offer the consumers an opportunity to develop as well as share content created exclusively by themselves.

Cindy Lee, the CEO of The Sandbox Korea, stated that the platform is thrilled to bring the game missions of Running Man to its Metaverse. As per the executive, the respective endeavour will offer a unique environment for the users to go through the respective missions. Lee moved on to say that platform is quite optimistic about collaborating with SBS.

Taking benefit from the well-known global IP of SBS will enable The Sandbox’s Metaverse to become more versatile and sensational, Lee added. Haedong Jin, SBS’ Head of Content Business, also commented on the partnership. The executive is of the view that the respective collaboration is only the start of both the platforms’ endeavours to develop exclusive dimensions related to user experience via NFT and Metaverse business.

Jin added that the company is enthusiastic to offer a new opportunity to the clients to make as well as share genuine content and get involved with the IP in unique ways. SBS Contents Hub has a strategy to keep expanding its partnership with The Sandbox to discover more forms of NFT and Metaverse business.
