Malaysian Police Uncover USDT-Powered Crypto Exchange Selling Crypto to China

Malaysian authorities have conducted a raid on an alleged illegal crypto exchange powered by USDT, resulting in the arrest of 40 individuals. The exchange is accused of facilitating the trading of USDT for cash for Mainland Chinese citizens. The operation was jointly conducted by the police’s commercial crime investigation team and the National Financial Crime Center. The exchange is also suspected of providing illegal online gambling services. Authorities seized mobile phones, cash, gold bars, luxury items, and jewelry. The suspects, including individuals from Malaysia, China, and Singapore, are expected to face charges related to money laundering, gambling, and crypto offenses.
