Papa Johns partner with OneRare to launch 1st NFT Foodverse

Papa Johns is entering the metaverse with its three best pizzas. A recent partnership with OneRare will assist the global pizza chain in bringing its community to the world of the metaverse. Players participating in the digital ecosystem of Papa Johns will have the freedom to collect core elements of the food item and use them to make their favorite pizzas. Moving forward, Papa Johns plans on taking things to the next level by allowing players to use digital collectibles with real-life applications.

Metaverse space of Papa Johns will be constructed over Polygon to leverage the security and economical operations. Benefits, needless to say, will be passed on to the community.

The partnership between Papa Johns and OneRare originates from its branch in the UAE; however, players across the globe are welcome to enter the food verse by OneRare. The announcement was made on Friday, and the partnership is tentatively expected to go live this Tuesday.

Pizzas available in the digital world of Papa Johns are:

  • Spicy Chicken Ranch Pizza
  • Super Papas Pizza
  • Vegan Sheese Garden Special Pizza

While the three pizzas are exclusively going live in the food verse of Papa Johns, there will be multiple copies of them for players to grab. Real-life application is a few months away from coming into practice, but holders of digital collectibles can instantly start earning rewards. It is speculated that Papa Johns plans to enable the holders of digital collectibles to swap their collections for a real pizza. Talk about bringing excitement!

Tapa Vaidya, the Chief Executive Officer of Papa Johns for the UAE region, has expressed commitment to exploring innovative technologies like Web3 and non-fungible tokens.

The brand is targeting the next generation of customers who are all in for cutting-edge experiences. This positions the brand at the forefront of the industry, said Tapan, who is hopeful that the move will be able to capture the attention & loyalty of the target customer base.

Supreet Raju, the Founder of OneRare, has talked about the project at a macro level by saying that the holders of non-fungible tokens will one day be able to swap their collections for a real meal at the restaurants. Supreet has also expressed commitment to introducing perks in the future as they keep building the community.

Digital collectibles of Papa Johns can be accessed by Signing In or Signing Up at OneRare. The platform offers multiple options to access the account – Google ID and Social Media Accounts. These allow visitors to directly create an account at OneRare without having to enter a lot of pieces of information.

Papa Johns is the first global pizza brand to shake hands with OneRare. Metaverse continues to become a digital sphere being leveraged by brands to connect with customers and offers rewards that can be utilized in real life. Starbucks, for instance, is already deep in the digital segment with plans to further cement its position in the metaverse.
